 Wiltshire Crop Circle Study Group 2008 Programme

 

I have posted a page to my website about the Wiltshire Crop Circle Study Group (WCCSG) which may be found by clicking here.

 

This page has been posted to give details of the 2008 programme of events held by WCCSG.

 

Group Meetings are free of charge but for WCCSG members only. Lectures are open to anybody and cost 3 Pounds for WCCSG Members and 4.50 Pounds if you are not a WCCSG member. Outdoor activities are free of charge. There is separate pricing for the Annual Conference which will be announced closer to the time.

Wednesday 12th March

Evening Lecture. 19.30. Coronation Hall, Alton Barnes. Psychic Children by Hugh Newmand. Hugh organises the annual Megalithomania Conference in Glastonbury. He will talk about how he learned to start looking at the world in alternative ways after being with a group of talented psychic children

 

 

Wednesday 23rd April

Evening Lecture. 19.30. Coronation Hall, Alton Barnes. The Wiltshire Landscape by Isabella Kingston. Isabella is very knowledgeable about the ancient spiritual history of the sacred sites around Avebury and will talk about the meaning of the Wiltshire temples, the landscape dragons and other local mysteries.

 

 

Saturday 17th May

10.30. WCCSG Meeting at High Ham near Glastonbury to discuss the Group’s activities over the summer.

 

 

Saturday 14th June

10.30.   WCCSG Meeting at Coronation Hall, Alton Barnes to finalise preparations for the August Conference, followed by a visit to a local crop circle.

 

 

Sunday 3rd August.

Meet at 9.30 for 10.00 at Knap Hill for a day walking the Pewsey Vale Goddess Landscape with Anthony Thorley. After walking through the various landmarks in the site, the day will finish with an Agni Hotra fire ceremony.

 

 

Friday 8th August

Crop Circle Night Watch. There will be a co-ordinated night watch out in the field to try to be on site for any crop circle being created.

 

 

Saturday 9th / Sunday 10th August

Annual WCCSG Conference at Marlborough College with a full two day programme of lectures, workshop activities, merchandise stands, etc..  Please click here to see the Conference programme.

 

 

Saturday 13th September.

10.30.   WCCSG Meeting at Harnham Memorial Hall, Harnham, near Salisbury. A catch up with events from the summer crop circle season.

 

 

Wednesday 15th October

Evening Lecture – 19.30, Coronation Hall, Alton Barnes.  Lecture : Ancient Knowledge by Anthony Thorley and Cella Gunn who will explore the old customs of the Avebury area that used to be part of the fabric of day to day life in ancient times and the importance of the ancient landmarks.

 

 

Saturday 8th November

10.30, Coronation Hall, Alton Barnes. Group Meeting followed by an afternoon talk on geomancy and related subjects by Shaun Kirwan. 

 

 

Saturday 6th December

10.30. Annual General Meeting followed at 13.30 by Christmas Lunch and Christmas Fair.

 

 

Sunday 22nd December

Celebrating the Winter Solstice at Adam’s Grave by lighting the White Horse with Melanie and Tybor.

 

 

 

This schedule of events is subject to change so it is advisable to check with WCCSG a few days before any event for confirmation that it is still taking place.
